Our practice is solely run by Optometrists so you can feel reassured and confident that you are in good hands. This also means you can request to see the same Optometrist every time you visit us. Throughout the examination you will be free to ask any questions regarding your eye health and any tests carried out.

Lovely staff and great customer service make you feel so welcome!

I made an appointment for a routine eye exam. Upon examination the Optometrist found swelling at the back of my eye, so they made an emergency referral to the hospital. I had fluid around my brain, which had to be drained. I cannot thank myVision opticians enough and the hospital for their care and treatment. Thank you again!! L.R

Great service and wonderful staff! I always dread choosing glasses, but stacy made the whole process a lot less daunting. I'll be getting my 2 year old booked in for her first sight test soon!
Keep an eye on your vision
-
Having your vision corrected can improve the quality of your day to day life.
-
Regular eye exams may help detect conditions such as glaucoma or macular degeneration. If detected early the conditions can be managed appropriately and sight loss can be prevented.
-
It is recommended that children have their eyes examined every year and adults every two years.

Commonly asked questions:
Can I change Opticians? Yes, you can switch Opticians at any time. We can call your previous Opticians for important information to ensure you have continuity of care.
Do you provide NHS services? Yes, we provide both NHS and private services for adults and children. (We can also issue NHS glasses vouchers for those that are eligible)
What is an OCT scan? OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is an advanced 3D scan of your eye. The 3D scan provides a detailed understanding of how healthy your eyes are. Sight tests at MyVision Opticians come free with an OCT scan.
How often should I have my eyes tested? It is recommended children under 16 attend every year and adults every two years. Your Optometrist may want to see you sooner if you are at risk of any eye conditions such as glaucoma. (Please refer to our "Eye test" page for more information).
What happens during an eye test? As part of your eye test at MyVision Opticians, our friendly and experienced Optometrists will check your vision, glasses prescription and eye health. All our eye tests come free with an enhanced OCT scan/digital retinal photography. We strongly believe important clinical tests that help diagnose eye conditions earlier should come standard as part of a thorough eye test and not an "additional optional extra"
Why do I need an eye test if my eyes have always been fine? Changes in vision and eye health are usually gradual, so you become accustomed to the deterioration. Regular eye tests are important in order to diagnose eye conditions earlier so you can receive treatment and care before it affects your vision. Did you know over 50% of sight loss is preventable. Our optometrist will thoroughly check your eye health and vision to ensure your eyes are at its best!
